Considering a green office building

иконописПодарък иконаGuest post written by Tina Key

We’re just in the beginning phases of planning our new office building, but one thing that we know we want for it is for it to be green. We’ve already had some green initiatives at work, but nothing’s like designing your own building for yourself and your needs.

We’ve also found some ways to be more efficient with our energy in this building. I was looking up some ways to do that a few weeks ago and came across the site www.texaselectricityproviders! .com/ambit-energy-texas/texas/. I read through it and got some quotes on energy savings plans that I think will be perfect for our new office building and business.

But that’s not the only part for our green office building plan. We’re also going to install motion sensor lights so that any energy doesn’t go wasted. I think this will also help to make sure that we’re not wasting any energy, which is pretty likely in an office building where all the office appliances are plugged up for most of the day. I think we’re going to be really glad that we’re building this with the environment in mind.

Job Prospects

I had a meet and greet for a school and I’m not sure if I did a good job on it. I felt that the questions were to casual and that’s something that you are never prepared for during mock interviews. It was shocking for me to walk wearing a suit and tie to hear questions like what do you like to do for fun? Gasp! What happened to the good ole’ tell me about yourself? What’s your greatest strength and weakness?
I’ll tell you my weakness! Talking about myself is hard work and it’s something that I will soon make into my greatest strength. It’s amazing how much we prepare for the professional world and yet we neglect ourselves so much. For what I like to do for fun I said I like to play sports which I do but something I can rarely do. What else do I do? Sit around and read things online. I don’t watch TV. Don’t watch too many movies. I do enjoy talking to people when I can since I’m away from everyone here in Illinois. That’s about it that I can think of off the top of my head.

What do you like to do for fun?

Maui Real Estate

I’m always looking for a good opportunity to arise and recently I’ve found it in the form of Maui Real Estate. I always to find this on a blog that I read on a everyday basis that covers different markets in terms of Real Estate. From what I’ve read the market has taken a nosedive and since that is one area that I would like to live in one day I might just invest in a property or two. Of course real estate is no guarantee but it’s something that I will be looking into. According to the post both condominiums and single family homes have been hit very hard and that is good news for me.
Similar to the post I read, I’ve been reading other posts of the downturn in Maui on other blogs as well. Another interesting post that I read on another blog is different rules when living on Maui in terms of type of ownerships that are available. The blog details how there is more than one type of ownership available and while they are dying type of ownership you will still encounter them.
I think this is a great time to invest in a downed market. Of course I’m no financial guru but if anything check it out. I know I will.

Hedging with gold

Gold is quickly becoming a hedge for the falling dollar in the recent days. It seems that will global economic woes many people are flocking to the security of gold. I myself own a bit of gold and since having bought it, it has appreciated quite a bit to the point of making up for any inflation that has occurred this year. I personally own gold bullion because I feel that having physical ownership of gold is the way to go. Bullion basically means that it will be in coin form and that you will be able to hold it yourself knowing that it is always safe.
In addition to gold bullion I also own some silver bullion but the returns nor protection from silver has been as good as gold. When I decided to go buy gold bullion I did so online using a secure site and payed via my credit card. When I decided to buy bullion I felt that I was taking a step in the right direction to securing my future. If you’re in the market for securing your finances I suggest looking into bullion, it can be a great investment that can pay many dividents in the future.

Alternative Energy to Save the Economy

A lot of industries right now are finding an alternative to oil due to its unpredictable increase in price. Alternate energy sources like the sun, wind and electricity are being researched right now to power our vehicles and homes. Why are they doing this? Well the world economy right now is depending too much on oil. As we all know oil will not last forever that is why alternative fuel sources are being researched.
Once the world’s economies would have a fully developed alternative energy source then we wouldn’t have a problem with the increasing price of oil anymore. In the first place, oil is a diminishing asset and we will eventually lose it somehow.

Web Conferencing: Modern Day Business Communication

Before the advent of the Internet, businesses with scattered branches would have to spend thousands of dollars just for communication. Conducting conferences need to be planned accordingly and would cause some serious funding. This became one of the reasons why companies were skeptic in setting up branches in different regions of the globe.

Today, we have the Internet dressed to answer that need- the need of reliable and cost effective communication medium. With the existence of audio and web conferencing, conducting seminars, conferences or even getting reports from business conglomerates is made easy and time efficient. No more hassle of going to each branch to brief employees, but simply take advantage of these services and you’ll have your messages delivered as if you are physically there.
