I think our society today is too dependent on technology and this will ultimately be our downfall. Think about it. Most of our miliatary depends on technology to defeat our enemies, yet some good old AKs manage to inflict a maximum amount of damage. Technology is great, but our dependence shouldn’t be so great that we can’t function without it. A classic example of this is people who have no idea how to get around town without the use of a global positioning system. I know many people that for some reason feel that they should always depend on technology rather than do the work and then rely on tech.
Case and point is my Algebra II class in the 9th grade, my teacher stressed that we should always learn the manual way and then utilize calculators. Although that teacher went on to god knows where, he instilled a great lesson in all of us. Remember people, learn first, then use technology. If you don’t you’ll end up dead or worse later on in life when the power goes out.

If your like me then you will have undoubtedly seen the commercial on T.V. for cash for gold which wasn’t all to convincing when I first watched it. After doing a bit of research on the internet it seems that many people, myself included, believe that the program isn’t a scam at all. I don’t find it hard to believe that people can send in their unused gold and receive cash. I have done it before in jewelers, and this service simply eliminates the middle man while providing you with money. The company itself is listed in the 500 magazine for 500 most growing companies in the United States of America.
Another great point that I can think of for the company is that more than ever people need money and the best way is to trade a high priced commodity like gold and get cash. If your in the market to make some money and have a bit of extra gold lying around get it appraised by cash for gold. If you feel that your being ripped off by your regular jeweler check out cash4gold because they may be able to offer you more money for your gold. I’ll be looking into them for the future, both to sell gold and invest in.

It seems that blogging is not a recession proof industry much to my surprise. It seems that the global downturn that effected companies has now come and bit bloggers where “the sun don’t shine”. This downturn has affected me badly since i’m a bit in a dire need for money at the moment. Wanting to expand my home gym and expenditures have to be put on hold to allocate funds for my savings account and the reduced pay out of my work. Unfortunately that means that many of the lifestyle changes like more workouts and an increased presence in the mixed martial arts scene will not be able to be completed until later on.
Looking on the bright side, I see that this is also a good thing. Adopting my philosophy of wabi and non-materialism can also be a good thing as I try to meditate more and more. It’s food for thought, on the one hand you have good while the other wields the bad. Although my materialism will not be satisfied my urge for simplicity will be. This is more of a boon / curse than anything else, or maybe everything in life is a boon / curse all wrapped into one?

In business profit lines are the most important part of the equation. Without profit a company ceases to exist and the results are worse if your company isn’t a limited liability company. One area that businesses often overlook are their abilities to negotiate with suppliers When I order my business supplies (yes, I use business supplies) I look for coupon deals on the various places that I shop (Apple Store, Buy.com, Circuit City). Whether it is discount codes and coupon deals for weight loss diet program or saving fifteen cents on Staples steno pads, it’s all money to be saved. A penny saved is a penny earned.
Saving money as business especially during times like these is crucial for existence itself. It’s easy to save once you get into the habbit, and after a while it starts to add up. The amount of money that you business is all up to you and that left over money can then be used as an investment in other projects that could lead to a substantial increase in return on investment. I might save a couple dollars here and there but the real money comes when I decide to use that saved money on a new project that makes me more money.

Meditation is benefitial for your brain and is one crucial element that is needed for focus. Unfortunately most people choose to avoid meditation because they find it too hard to start, and leave the scene prematurely. Like everything with life one must practice meditation to obtain perfection; just look at the monks and how easily they can meditate. I have found that meditation can be a stress reliever and I do both a guided and unguided mediation on a daily basis.
One think that I have found through my meditation is that our world revolves other idea besides work and money. When I first started meditating I started to visualize my life non-materialistically after a certain of number of years and it’s shocking that most of my thoughts were non materialistic in nature. If your not into mediation just read a couple guides, or try and focus for more than 5 minutes on just breathing and only breathing with no other thought wandering into your head. After that you can start branching out into different meditations like energy and chakra meditation. You might just make a lifestyle change, I certainly did.

The world of Internet Marketing is a world that is constantly expanding, and it’s becoming more and more difficult to navigate alone. Whether it is simple search engine optimization or making money online, a ever increasing database of knowledge must be mastered. Google Adwords pay per click management is one area that I found difficult until I discovered the blog linked to above. The article or articles for that matter on their blog do a great job of clearing up potential areas of confusion. I found myself bound by the misconception that I should always bid for the number one spot for my business on adwords. Little did I know that it was more beneficial for me to pay a lower premium and receive less traffic but more generated sales.
My first encounter with adwords was not that yielded much fruit to say the least, but after reading a couple of articles I was quickly able to start turning a profit. The main problem with my use of adwords is the bidding process. I wasn’t able to figure out how to micro-manage the bids so I was overpaying for a click. My Return On Investment has moved from -.3 to a positive .6 meaning that now make a 60% return for every dollar that I put in.

Motivation is the key factor in carrying out any task, finding that motivation is what most people have problems with. Honest to god, I hate my line of work, it’s boring, time consuming, and pays decently. For most people money is a motivator while others see themselves as being defenders of justice. I personally see myself as the latter, one who steps in and does all that one can do to protect whoever from whatever (i’ll leave that to your imagination). Anyway, the key to motivation is to find the factor that makes you the most pumped up. Find it and you will find your motivation at any time, just think about that image in your mind.
Who says greed is bad? If it’s money imagine hundred dollar bills falling on you. If you want to fight for honor, justice, or any other thing of that nature think of a family member being mugged. Try to make the image vivid, seeing is believing and if you can imagine something that vividly then you should want it badly enough to work for it. I do this all the time, I see myself being mugged and I envision that someone is trying to kill me. It works, trust me =D

It’s the basis of capitalism, the free market, and business that individuals and business leaders must seize the opportunity. This is the case for all business and with online business growing to extreme lengths it’s imperative that you find your niche. It’s easier said than done but if you use the right tools it’s a piece of cake. I recently found this link: Start a business, this site is what helped me find my online writing job that pays for most of my bills. Sites like these are imperative to fast growth because it takes the guess work out of trying to figure out what niche one should enter to make money.
How does a site like that work? This site estimates and collects information regarding the ratio of entrepreneurs in a certain niche and then advises user to pursue another business to get the maximum profit per time spent. I plan on using this system more and more as my business grows a bit more, I’m also looking into affiliate marketing and PPC campaigns that this system supports. Check them out, you will be able to make some money to support all of your endeavors. It’s worth your time to know that you can be financially secure.

Making a lifestyle change is anything but easy, how can one expect themselves to be able to make a life change in one or two days? The simple answer is that you can’t, no one can, if your going to make that change it will take time and their are two ways to achieve that goal. The first way is to gradually and progressively slip into the change. The second way is to do something cold turkey, quit right there and then. I’m not sure how I was able to from meat eater to vegetarian but after a week or two of being a vegetarian I don’t even want to think of meat.
Thinking that you want to change and changing are two different things, it requires massive amounts of will and determination in order for one to finally achieve the change. Temptation can play big role in stopping one from achieving the change, change can only happen if one is able to clear all doubt and confusion and focus on the goal. A interesting subject to read on is law of attraction that focuses on thinking of a specific goal and letting it come into your life.
