With the challenges the world is facing now with the economy, a lot of businesses are closing down. Many people are soon finding themselves unemployed or are worrying that they may be the next to lose their jobs. There are a couple of businesses though that is not affected by the recession.

For some reason today I started thinking about wedding rings, and I’m a long long way from ever getting married. I started looking for a engagement ring, and I have to admit that there are some pretty cool looking ones. Besides skateboarding and hitting up the beach I’ve been talking to some friends that want to go camping. The problem with us is that we have no idea what it’s like to go camping, so we looked at a mountain forum that also talks about camping. We don’t have too many mountains in Florida since it’s mainly flat land as a result of the calcium carbonate (a.k.a limestone) under our orange growing soil. Through the forum we were able about building fires, and the correct way to extinguish them. Before we looked at the forum we had no idea that we could do so much in nature, and while camping. We are now planning to go trekking, swimming, canoing, and mountain bike riding. I remember the sixth grade when I first got into skateboarding and how much fun I was able to extract from that one simple hobby. I enjoyed standing upon different skateboard decks and think which one I liked more, and which ones I didn’t like, and why. Once I found a skateboard deck I would purchase it, add some trucks, and some wheels and enjoy the wind in my hair as I pushed away on the sidewalk. Although its been a number of years, I still find myself riding the occasional skateboard, and I have to admit that those were good times. It’s a great hobby to pick up if your not into doing too much work, as I am. In addition, building a skateboard isn’t hard work sine all you need is wheels, bearings, trucks, and a skateboard deck. To add to that all of the parts listed above are relatively cheap, and the most I ever spent on a good skateboard was $200 (tops).

I love spring break for all the time that I get to spend on the sand. It’s amazing how much time people, myself included, spend looking for swimming trunks, and bikinis. The way I see it, if I’m going to spend a good couple of hours basking in the sun on the beach then I might as well look good, or try to. I started to look for different clothes and I’ve been looking for style most of the time. That isn’t to say that I don’t shop for swim wear by the fabric they are made out of, or what color they are, but I try to focus on style more than anything else. Life is full of work. Work is what forces us to get up in the morning, and forces us to get to sleep at night. It’s what moves us throughout the day, and why we decide to live our lives on the basis of a circle with two ticking hands. Today I took a break with some friends of mine, and to my surprise we ignored that god forsaken circle of time. It’s such a relief to just enjoy the moment and not have to waste precious breaths worrying about what’s due, and where I have to be. The point of this post is to advise everyone to take a break otherwise you’ll burn out and therefore crash and burn.
